Joe Sackey has spent nearly two decades specializing in the private treaty sale of high-end supercars, with a focus on the iconic Ferrari supercars (288 GTO, F40, F50, Enzo, LaFerrari) and Lamborghini supercars (Miura & Countach). Among peers in the automotive world, Joe is considered a valuable resource, and his deep knowledge of chassis ownership history is relied on by VIP clients, dealerships, and auction houses worldwide.
Joe has a track record as an effective facilitator, often realizing world record results. Joe nearly always represents both seller and buyer, and his clients have curated significant collections.
Joe’s focus has always been in curating the very best supercars, bar none.
Over the past 30 years, Joe has personally owned many supercars himself in both England and the USA, including 5 Lamborghini Miura SVs (inc. the factory production prototype SV, the ex-Shah of Iran SV, the USA prototype SV, the final USA production SV, & the Barcelona Salon SV), 13 Lamborghini Countachs (every factory variant from LP400 to 25th Anniversary, including the ex-Silvera LP400 & the ex-Lamborghini CEO Patrick Mimran Downdraft), a Diablo SE30 (the final USA-delivered car), a Ferrari 288 GTO (ex-Jacques Swaters), and 3 Ferrari F40s (including the ex-Paul Allen/Microsoft car).
Joe is the author of two internationally acclaimed hardcover books, titled The Lamborghini Miura Bible and The Book of the Ferrari 288 GTO, the former published in English, French & German.
Sterling Sackey, Joe’s son, has spent the better part of a decade in the private treaty and public sale supercar & sports car business. Sterling’s specialty in Porsche centers around the Carrera GT supercar, and special variant 911s in the 964 through 997 ranges. He has been responsible for countless sales in said categories, and maintains both an extensive personal knowledge & a private registry of the Carrera GT supercar in particular.
Sterling also specializes intently in iconic Japanese sports cars. He has personally owned many of these cars, including 3 Acura NSXs (2 NA1 coupes, & 1 NA2 facelift car), 10 Honda S2000s (1 AP1 & 9 AP2s inc. 4 Club Racers), 2 Acura Integra Type Rs (’98 & ’00), 3 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolutions (1 Evo VIII, & 2 Evo IXs), and 1 Subaru Impreza WRX STI (’07). Additionally, he has been responsible for the sale of dozens more rare Japanese sports cars on behalf of buyers and sellers, including multiple sales of the 50-units produced Acura NSX Alex Zanardi Edition, making him the preeminent source for that model. He maintains a private registry of the Lexus LFA supercar as well.
Vince Sackey, Joe’s son and Sterling’s younger brother and a recent university graduate, has managed Joe Sackey Classics’ inspections, appraisals and restoration management, and he now joins the team as assisting in all capacities needed to ensure Sackey & Co. operations run smoothly for clients.
